KINETIC SCULPTURE GROUP PROJECT

As a part of my Component Design class, we were tasked with creating a Kinetic Sculpture. This project was substituted for the traditional "Drill Powered Bike" project due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

My team decided to have the kinetic sculpture's design be Mr. Game & Watch surfing, with the motion of the surfboard generated by a four-bar linkage and the motion of the waves generated by cam lobes all driven by a motor.

For the duration of this project I worked remotely with my team, and was able to put my knowledge and skill with SOLIDWORKS to good use designing CAD models for the sculpture. I utilized Design for Manufacturing techniques to ensure that the final sculpture was easily manufactured and assembled.
