DATA ANALYSIS GROUP PROJECT

As part of my Data Analysis class, groups were tasked with designing experiments, collecting real world data, and analyzing the data to reach a logical conclusion. My group designed an experiment to observe the acceleration of a car shock, which would allow for the modeling of the displacement of the shock and subsequently for a qualitative measurement of a passenger's experience throughout a drive.

We selected three speed bumps to drive over at three different speeds, conducted 5 trials for each experimental setup, and utilized MATLAB to analyze our data. After synthesis and final hypothesis testing we presented our findings in a report, snippets of which are presented below.

Experimental Setup

An Adafruit ADXL345 accelermoeter was taped to the front right shock of one of our groupmates' cars. After successfully attaching it, the wiring was routed back to the passenger seat where a laptop and Arduino Uno were collecting data.
